Policy Statement

Social media tools can bring
tremendous values to the work environment. 
Individuals, departments and programs can use such tools as social
networking sites to accomplish their strategic goals.  These technologies offer effective ways to
engage with constituents worldwide and provide a powerful vehicle to leverage
those relationships. The goal in this is to help you use social media tools
effectively, protect your personal and professional reputation, and enhance the
image and communications efforts of IFS.

Purpose

Social media can be used in the
organization to promote our brand, products and services, as well as to
interact with our clients, suppliers and to communicate information within the
organization. This will provide our staff with an alternative means of
communication between each other.

Guidelines

IFS is publishing the following
social media guidelines to enable its employees to confidently and safely use
social media as well as to provide them with information for the appropriate
use of social media when connected to their statutes as a part of the
organization, or when directly or indirectly referencing IFS.

are vulgar, obscene, threatening, harassing or are a violation of the company’s
workplace policies.

the terms and conditions of any social media sites and software.

information about the organization cannot be shared on social media platforms.

resources are to be used for the company related business purposes.

Do
not use your employer to promote any opinion used for purpose of political
activities or making any political statements

media accounts must adhere to the company brand guidelines.

the privacy of the company, customers, vendors and co-workers.

Training
about the do’s and don’ts of social media use will be implemented in our
organization to reduce the risk of misuse.

Guidelines for consequences of Social Media misconduct

In the case of social media
misconduct the following guidelines will apply

will proceed with fairness and justice.

will investigate and gather information and facts of the situation.

We
will notify the person and give them the opportunity to respond.

?      
Finally
we will assess all the information and determine the severity of the
punishment.

This policy will be periodically reviewed with the proper
teams in order to ensure that still consistent and up-to-date.
